The Deckband hub, common to Leisure and Professional formats, can connect up to 6 headsets in handsfree, always-on, crystal clear communication. A Quick Pair option allows rapid set-up of the network. Special ports to the rear allow for connection to DC power, NMEA and VHF. The USB port at the side connects to a 4-point USB charger for the headsets, and a seventh wired audio user can connect at the side. The keypad allows for friendly naming of headsets, and for switching of crew members between Talk, Listen and Monitor (MOB only) modes. The timeout for MOB can be varied to suit conditions and operations. Volume can be tuned at the hub or at the headset. Current GPS data can be displayed at the touch of a button if connected into the boat's information network. The Deckband Leisure format is geared to the cruising user. The headsets have an immense 40 hour talk time, providing coverage for long passages, or across a typical weekend use. With standard Bluetooth Class 2 range, coverage is good on vessels of standard construction up to around 13m. The package includes mains 230v and 12v cigar socket power supplies, a multipoint USB charger for up to 4 headsets at a time, an additional wired audio connection for the nav station, and cables to assist with NMEA 0183 and VHF audio input installation.
